Overview of the Incident Lifecycle

The Incident Response module orchestrates tracking failures across your entire topology.

Step-by-Step Response Protocol

  1. Detect: System detects an anomaly; status is flagged as detected.
  2. Acknowledge: An engineer clicks the [Ack] button on /incidents, adopting ownership.
  3. Triage: Action: Evaluates severity (Low/Medium/High/Critical).
  4. Mitigate: Temporary patch is applied to restore minimal operational bounds. Engineer hits [Mitigate].
  5. Resolve: Root cause is decisively identified and permanently fixed.
  6. Postmortem: Action: Engineer presses the [Postmortem] trigger to unlock a rich text editor for capturing qualitative learnings.

Edge Case Scenarios

Scenario: Two simultaneous incidents trigger on a single database resource. Resolution Path: The interface automatically coalesces identical metadata sources and presents a unified warning badge next to the asset row.
